Applies to: Agencies deciding on pricing

How should I price my agency services, and is a low price a good idea?

Votel recommends against a very low price point. At a low price you need a large number of clients, and you quickly run out of time and margin: you cannot give personalized service, customer service suffers, clients churn, and you need even more low priced clients to replace them. There is also no margin left to hire help, so you cannot grow.

The one case where a low price can work is a deliberately stripped down product that needs almost no support. For example, a Google review request system where the client only fills in a name, email and phone number and it sends a review request. If that is all the system does, it is easy to understand and can be sold to many people at a low price.

Otherwise, aim for clients where you can deliver high value results and charge a higher monthly amount, and set your minimum price well above a token amount.
